most of the people who own one, according to m5boards.
with an 18 gallon tank and 9mpg id get ~162 miles to every tank. that would last me about 2 days or so. on top of that, the gas station here is 3.59 a gallon
so let's say 3.50, to be nice. that's around 60 dollars about three times a week.
it's a big step. and the 70 miles to and from school, that doesn't include anywhere else i drive. i also have to go to the gym and other errands.

for the truck...i would keep the car and find a used Truck that suits your needs and then you have both to choose from no matter what you are doing IMO...

Just to remind you, it is so nice to nail the throttle around a turn, have the back end wash out for a few seconds going sideways until the traction light blinking like a **** hooks it up and then sends the car shooting forward like a rocket upshifting and screaming to 120.
In case you forgot.

Yea, I went through the truck fad too. I live in the heart of TX and trucks are everywhere. My best friend drives an F150 with 11" of lift and 38" tires. I was going to do the same thing with my Titan, 10" of lift and 37" tires. But since I'm getting 11mpg right now, lifting it would make it suck even more gas. Plus, I like to drive "spritedly" and you can't safely do that in a truck, too much body roll etc. Will be trading in the Titan on an IS350 hopefully before June.
Plus, not only does the truck get bad gas mileage, it's been in the shop 4 times with 7000 miles. That doesn't bode well for the future.
Good luck with your truck and try not to miss your IS too much. But I will tell you, your truck will depreciate like a rocket. The truck stickered for $40,070 when we took delivery on June 1st. Now I want to trade it in, they will give me $25,500 at the dealer. Probably going to have to Carmax it.
