Correct me if I am wrong but 1st gen IS yellow Gs also yellow. I guess those are all rice factory rice. I figure everyone else has standard or Hid fogs. I went yellow. I think it depends on the color of the car as well, some yellow does not look good on certain colors of cars. Of course my first gen had yellows and I sanded of the yellow and went black housing. Now my wife drives it. So to each his/her own.....sorry it seems this post waffles more than kerry did.

everybody has a different definition of whats "rice", so its kind of a lost cause arguing back and forth about it.
IMO, there is such thing as factory rice. Subaru's, EVO's and the 1IS yellow foglights are all rice to me. nothing wrong with "rice", its just a particular look that some people really like, but it's just not for me.

I dont think yellow fogs are one bit rice at all. Yellow fogs are actually pretty factory standard back in the day on lots of car makes. Some people put on yellow fogs now because they prefer a bigger color contrast between headlights and foglights that's all.

From the pics on page 1 of this thread, it appears that the "non-yellow" fogs on the white IS don't really match the blue-ish HID appearance. Is there a fog light that comes a little closer to looking like the OEM HIDs?

who said anything about non-yellow fogs on the white IS? In the first pic, i have the 3000k yellow HIDs and in the second pic its the 2500k non-HID bulb. if you want something that is closer to OEM HID color, than get the 4300k or 5000k HID kit for your fogs.
