XenonDepot 8000K Review w/ Pics
Finally I was able to get my hands on a GREAT set of 8000K D4S bulbs. Thank you Steve and as promised here is my review...
First off I would like to say that the pictures dont do the headlights justice. The colors are a lot crisper in real life.
Anyone who has tried to take pics of headlights know that the pics sometimes do not look like the actual thing. I took a lot of pics but only included the ones that looked the closest to the real thing.
Here's a pic before the 8000K D4S were installed:
Here's a pic of driver's side w/ the new bulb and the the passenger side with the stock bulb :
And finally, here's a pic of the new 8000K bulbs:
Here's my review on the headlights...
Installing the lights was quick and easy. Total time for the install took about 20 mintues.
The color is ice white with a nice touch of blue. It looks much better than the stock bulbs.
As for performance, the output is very much like a 6000k bulb. Usually when you go up in kelvin the output suffers. With these bulbs the output loss is very minor. Ive used other 8000K bulbs and have experienced a massive loss in output.
Another cool supprise was the heating sequence that happens everytime I turn on my headlights. As the bulbs heat up you see yellow, which then turns green, then to a bright green, to blueish purple finally to a ice white.
Overall I'm very happy with these bulbs. Finally, I have a set that works. For those of you who are looking for a set of 8000K D4S bulbs I would highly recomend giving Steve at Xenondepot a call. He is great to work with and very professional.
