IS350 or G37

If you want a sports car....look elsewhere. We've been through this before. The G37, with all it's compromises, and the IS350 for that matter, are sporty cars, but neither is a "straight up" sports cars.
Oh, and the overall quality of the IS makes it a clear choice over the G37, which in too many cases, will spend a lot more time in the service bay than an IS.
YMMV

I was never a huge fan of the G....now I like it even less because the Altima looks like it, the upcoming skyline looks just like it, and who knows how many cars they will being out that wear the same sheet metal?
The other thing that bothers me about infiniti is that they do feel like nissans. The newer ones are better, but they still feel like nissans in too many ways.

ditto that... the G37 isn't a true sports car... if you were truely looking into performance you would look into a porsche or something along that matter... so assuming so the IS350 is a better choice...

Either way, I'd take the Porsche.

I've always been more of a coupe kind of guy, I went and looked at a G37s last weekend, disapointed that it did not look more like the concept. not a fan of infiniti interiors, but I did find the front seats more comfortable than the IS. One the hand full of reasons I bought the IS over other cars I was shopping is the interior, LOVE IT!

I went with my friend when he was getting his G37S. You definitely feel more road feedback on the G37 which is partially due to larger (19" wheels) on the G37. In the handling department, the G37 does corner just as well as my IS350. If you get the four wheel steering option, the G37 does corner noticably better than the IS particularly at turns taken around 30-40mph.
The navigation is both joystick and touchscreen controlled which is a nice option. The navigation will say both street names and highway numbers during voice guidance whereas the IS will only read highway numbers.
The voice recognition is not as annoying as it is on the IS. For example, on the IS, you have to press the "Talk" button before each command. On the G37, you press it once to start the command, and the system automatically beeps and waits for additional commands when needed. (I hope that makes sense). It's a good example of what difference a couple years makes.
In fairness to the IS350, the IS just feels MUCH MUCH lighter than the G37. While on paper, the G37 has a more powerful engine, in reality, my IS still feels nimbler.
Oh yea, and when my friend drives 'enthusiastically", he gets about 14mpg. On my 350, I get about 20mpg when I'm enthusiastic and 25 if I baby it.
Lexus still has the better keyless entry. On the G37, you press the button on the door to both lock and unlock.
The G37 interior is improved over G35, but I think that's just subjective.
The exterior on the other hand seems a little more girly than it was on G35. Again, this is probably subjective, but the curvier G37 just doesn't do it for me.
In the end, when I compare my car to his, I still like mine better for the ventilated seats, better gas mileage, and looks.

i think the old g35 couple is much better than the new one. The old looks more aggresive and had a better stance. If u want a G37 then just save urself some money and buy anAltima Cope (now those are nice!). By the way my sister has a g35 coupe and she always has problems with it. But I love the way the car drives and handles.
IMO lol
1.) IS350
2.) G35 Coupe
3.) Altima Coupe
4.) G37 Coupe

I like the G37 because it looks like a wide body. Ran one of the I-State the other day... 26 more horse power huh? Not so much.
I happen to like the look of the G37 better than the G35, and if they have tidied up the interior then the G37 for the money is something worth looking at!
