What am I gonna do? (New car in shop for A/C problem)
I bought the 08 Is250 last month.. It had about 1,400 miles on it.. Two weeks ago I took the car to dealership to fix the AC.. The passenger AC climate control is not working for temperature change.. Right now it is two weeks, my car is in dealership.. I feel like this is not a new car anymore.. A new car shouldnt have any problem.. SHould I talk to manager to get me a new car?

You have a warranty, what's the problem. Any car could have a problem. They are machines built by humans. They won't be perfect. Since you bought it used, make sure you get the full service history. Make sure everything has been checked and documented. Now that the AC has been through a majoe service, it should be fine. Even if there are problems after the warranty expires, the dealerships usually cover it under goodwill...since they serviced prior.

Why is it taking so long to repair the problem? Are they waiting for parts?

Not sure why the car has to remain in the shop for an a/c control. Can't they order it, and when the part arrives you take the car in and have them install it? Have a chat with the Service Department.

Hope the original poster will fill us in on the details so we won't have to speculate, but if the broken temperature control was causing the passenger to get blasted with hot air in the Texas heat I can see why the owner might prefer driving a loaner while waiting for the parts to come in.

Echoing other comments, new cars sometimes have some problems. You can't expect them to be perfect, even though it is a Lexus. What you should expect is for them to fix it right the first time and treat you right. If either of these things doesn't happen, then you might have a complaint.
Also, there is absolutely NO chance to get a new car out of this. Not until the dealership has tried and failed to fix a major problem will they even consider lemoning it.
