What it looks like (possibly) is that SOME 08s got black carpet though. (Mine is BSP and has cashmere and I think the 2 guys who have had black carpet in their 08s were obsidian and Smoky Granite).
Kind of an odd change though.

Ok--now I'm following. I thought someone had said they have on '08 SGM with Cashmere carpets. I agree that's kind of an odd change. So, Lexus listens to consumer complaints regarding carpet color, but not [INSERT COMMON COMPLAINTS HERE]?

What people are saying is that think that cashmere gets black carpeting with some exterior colors and doesn't with others. The car I saw at Taste of Lexus was white.
Our car is going to be Matador Red Mica. Anyone out there have a new red one with cashmere seats? What's your carpet color?

I heard from a regional manager and he is trying to find out about the carpeting. He couldn't find any built like that in this region. He has a call in to national. I'll keep you posted.
Anyone else out there have the black carpeting on an '08 with cashmere. We wondered if it's a exterior color thing. It might be a regional thing. Help us find out.
