Remote Starter

I believe it is possible. Lexus makes one too, well I'm pretty sure someone makes it for them but Lexus has their name on it.
Sewell Lexus sells them for $590. Here's the link:

The Lexus IS and GS is the first prestige sport sedan equipped with remote start and the ability to activate preset commands from a distance. With just one click of your Lexus remote fob you can start the engine. With certain packages you can also automatically start your heater or air conditioning and even start the window defrost... all from up to 200 feet away.
The Lexus remote start and keyless entry fob controls the following:
Engine Start/Stop
Interior Climate controls
Engine timer
Hazard Lights
Includes wiring and applicable hardware. Batteries included.

Actually, Sewell doesn't sell this - check the link, and you'll see 'discountinued' at the bottom of the page. This topic is a repeat of a rehash of a repost... You're new here, so here's the skinny:
So far, the remote has only been confirmed to work with only JDM IS's... No one knows if it will work with a USDM IS because it hasn't been attempted yet. Carson has a unit, but Carson is a Toyota dealer, and doesn't have an IS to try it on. They were looking for a test fitter that would be willing to pay the cost of the unit. So far, they haven't found anyone willing to gamble with that much money. For those wondering why it wouldn't be compatible, it has to do with the fact that the JDM and USDM IS's have completely different ECU's. For this to work, there are a variety of modules that have to work together to certify access to the keyless lock and starting systems. If it doesn't work, you'll be left with a 3,500 pound paperweight. Hope this helps!
