Default If i got...

If i happened to get 20' rims would my ride height be higher or would it be the same as ride height with the 18' rims. Explain why or why not?

Thanks.

The same, that is if you get lower profile tires and keep the OD the same.

Totally depends on the rubber you put on it as cspec said.

If you keep the same aspect ratio and increase wheel diameter, overall diameter will increase. If you increase wheel size and lower aspect ratio accordingly, you can keep the same rolling diameter, or perhaps even decrease it.

it's all depends on your rubber. I run 245/30front 275/30rear and I'm just a bit bigger than stock. Use a tire diameter to calculate your size to see if it's bigger or smaller than stock.

Dud,
Make it in short. Most aftermarket wheel set up uses o/e stock tire size (the rubber part) as the overall size since it gives a sure clearance for no rubbing issue. Coming to aftermarket setup, the overall size stays the same, but increasing in wheel size (metal part) and decreasing the tire side wall (slim tire). It is possible to have taller (circumference) and wider tires, but just make sure no rubbing issue.

Try to stay close to OEM size, taller tires will decrease braking performance.
