There's no easier way to get into the headlight assembly without removing the clear plastic covering, and the best way to get that off is by heating the adhesive sealant. I suppose a heat gun would work, but you have to heat all of the adhesive at once to get it off.

yeah best way to go is still oven heating at a set temperature so you don't melt anything else.

OVEN HEATING? wow...how did u even do that? u put the car on the oven or something? Is there any proffesional instalation in southern california?????

place on cookie sheet on low bake until slightly brown.

no you have to take the whole headlight assembly off of the car and into your kitchen.

don't know of any professional install places in SoCal.
