How many car manufacturers sell "chips" to hack the computers of their own cars? I don't think they would make "a killing" at all, the number of takers would be a minute fraction of total vehicle units and they would be on the hook for warranty and emissions for the mod as well. It sound more like a financial black hole rather than the gold mine you purport it to be.

That really has to one of the silliest (is artardiest a word?) things I've heard.

Take a look around sometime.

The average car owner is a LOT more likely to buy blingy crap that does nothing for performance.

Hence that's mostly what TRD sells.

I saw an IS350 with the F-Sport parts installed at the Chicago Auto Show... the drop looked very good.

Here it is in the background (the silver one)

That's the same car that debuted at SEMA and has been making the rounds of all the car shows and what not. Did you like anything else other than the drop? I'm curious of the feedback this stuff is garnering as more and more people see it in person.

I had the biggest interest in the suspension components and the wheels. I really liked the drop. It looked very aggressive and even. The wheels were OK but I won't be getting them... not my style. I also took a look at the air intake ( I have a picture somewhere) and that looked good too. All the other stuff like the brakes and the engine cover I really don't care about. In my opinion it costs too much and offers too little.

So if the springs are reasonably priced I'll get them installed at a dealership so I keep the warranty and so they resolve any issues with uneven tire wear that some people here are experiencing after installing aftermarket springs.
