In my opinion it costs too much and offers too little.

So if the springs are reasonably priced I'll get them installed at a dealership so I keep the warranty and so they resolve any issues with uneven tire wear that some people here are experiencing after installing aftermarket springs.
im with you waiting on the suspension crap!!! everything else is not really worth it and correct me if im wrong why are the springs $800? thats a little steep for twisted metal! oh i forgot its a lexus

You have to go to Lexus.com and register as an owner and you can subscribe that way.
To be honest, the mag really sucks, but sometimes there are small articles on stuff "WE" would like..

Yeah. Its more lifestyle than automobile. Actually, probably only 25% is related to Lexus vehicles.

is this correct? a set of 4 of the IS-F bilstiens are only $299!?!? that makes no sense, especially when compared to the $725 for the set of springs. is this figure correct?

Ok total noob question here - can I get just the springs to get the effective drop? Or do I need both as a set? Would the ride be compromised if I just got the springs? I'm thinking that getting both would be best, but don't know if 1" is worth $1000.

My understanding is that the spring rate of the lowering springs is the same as the spring rate of the sport package IS. Also, Lexus claims that their lowering springs will not cause premature shock wear. So, to answer your question, you shouldn't notice a difference in ride comfort between your stock (sport suspension) set-up and this potential set-up using these lowering springs without the benefit of the accompanying shocks. Of course, if you are hitting your bump stops (I doubt that you will), then it's a different story.

Does anybody know what the stock and sport spring rates are for the IS?
