I just got a qoute from a nearby Lexus dealership on how much it is to install the following F-Sport accesories: springs, sway bars and chassis member brace. They qouted me $1,430 ($880 for the springs, $440 for the sway bars and $110 for the chassis membe rbrace) for 14.5 hours of work, plus another $145 for a wheel alignment. It's crazy because I believe they charge $55 per hour of work and with that total it would equal 26 hours worth of work. That whole cost of installation almost cost twice as much as the accesories.
Can anyone confirm if this is overpriced? I mean I know it's from a Lexus dealership but it seems way too absurd just for the accesories to be covered by warranty.
ism-skzm, if you don't mind me asking, did you get yours installed at a Lexus dealership? If so, how much?

Lexus dealerships are going to charge what they have listed in the Tech books as hours needed to remove and install a part..
It is silly, but this is how its going to be at most dealers..
Each dealership sets their own Labor Rates.
Unless, Lexus issues a bib stating some flate rates for these installs, each dealership will be overcharging for these typical aftermarket / accessory installs...

Not in the Bay Area, I'm in the LA area. I'm not sure with other dealerships but this particular one charges $55 an hour because that's how much they charged me to get my card key synced to my car and even though it probably took them 20-30 minutes, they said they still had to charge me the hourly rate.

I just went out and listened to/test drove a manual IS with the short shifter and the intake. The F-Sport intake does have a little bit of a deeper sound when I opened up the throttle, and the pipe is slightly larger in diameter. The tech that installed it said both the short-shifter and the intake were pretty easy installs.

Just got off the phone with Darrel from Sewell Lexus and major props for handling the transaction over the phone and making it smooth as butter since it couldn't be done online. I will be getting the F-Sport shocks in a couple days since they are in stock and hopefully get them on Thursday afternoon to get ready for a two day autocross this weekend. Will get pictures of the install when they go in and impressions after the autocross if they go in. Thanks again Darrel.

car is luxury pkg stock, 1" drop from stock, 25% stiffer. 1/2" from sport pkg equip. (approx.)
pics taken today and should be posted soon. (Thanks ngl1145)
Feels tighter than before (due to camber change), looks killer (with 18" ISP lexus wheels) takes a couple weeks to settle, then real driving begins!!
