A friend (not a lexus owner), simply leaves it at home and just gets billed using the license plate #. I'm not sure the legality of it, but it's worked for her in Bay Area bridges.

I just put mine over the dots, because I didn't think the aestics were that bad.

Some authorities cross check your lic plate number in their system, and if they find it tied to your account, they automatically deduct the $$. This is in case the batteries die in the transponder. I'm surprised your friend hasn't been sent a new transponder. PA Turnpke Authority will send you a new one if this happens fequently, b/c they think the battery is dead OR they send you penalties b/c they are too lazy to check you plate number. It's a crapshoot.

I just keep mine in the driver side pocket and put it up when i need to, it would bother me if I saw it on my windshiled everday.
no toll roads? the southbay expressway (a continuation of SR-125 that pretty much connects spring valley to eastlake) is opening on november 19th, unless you don't count anything south of mission valley "san diego." hah. i have to get one of those transponders for me to get to work faster

To clarify. She has her own account, and leaves transponder at home. She's not in my account.
