Looks like someone caught the deciding race on video after all and ended up slightly disappointed. The Maxima vs my IS350. It would have been a really close race if he hadn't blown his launch. He was also running 13.2's and 13.3's most of the evening.

Simply amazing! I've only hit the drag strip a few times in the IS350... can't imagine I'll beat my 13.5 without some of your mods.

My buddy in his Chrysler 300SRT8, started out stock with a 13.3 added an intake an ran a 12.9 today. I'd love to be able to catch him!

You give me hope!

BTW, Have you EVER had any better times with a little brake torquing? Or do you think it ruins the traction and 60' times?

Congrats on the win Caymandive! You got fast reflects thats for sure.

Watching that Maxima only spinning it's right tire makes me appreciate our car. LSD or not it always burns equally for us when we step on it.

What mods do the maxima have to get consistent 13.3's and 13.2's? That's pretty impressive!

I really don't know what all the Maxima had done to it, but I was just as surprised at his speed as he was with mine I'm sure. I know his engine was pretty stripped down, but probably had some internal work done, full exhaust, intake, weight reduction, etc.

Any of you ever fold your mirrors in for less resistance?

I haven't ever thought of that, but I doubt it would make a significant difference. Although, it wouldn't surprise me if folded mirrors increased drag due to the shape.

Dude ... this isn't a long thread. Why ask something that has probably already been mentioned without reading it?

you smoke your tires to warm them up or to clean them off or maybe both?

did you do that for all your runs?
