Default IS350 wins World Cup Finals SS Class with a best of 13.214@104.48

Results from the World Cup Finals yesterday (Imports vs Domestics)

It was a long day yesterday. I arrived at Maryland International Raceway at 8 am yesterday and didn't leave until 10:30pm! All that time and I only got 6 runs in. There were so many cars that showed up for the event that they changed the schedule and canceled the early morning practice runs.

Weather Stats (See signature for my drag strip journal)

Car stats:
3590lbs with driver
JoeZ pipe (OEM Airfilter)
Tanabe exhaust
Custom mid-pipe
Michelin PS2 tires in the front at 45 psi
Kumho 245/35/18 tires in the rear at 35 psi
Eibach springs

ECT PWR was not used on any of the runs. I took combfilter's suggestion and tried with it off. Not sure if it made a difference, but hey it seemed to work just fine.

All launches were done with no brake torquing as I was running the pro tree and just didn't have time.

Car was full interior. The Stock Street class has strict rules that both front seats must be used.

VIDEO with a few of my runs of the day. The announcer is hilarious. You may also right click and save as here. It's about 59MB.

CONGRATS!!! Nice driving!

How did you get the weight down to 3590 with driver? That's a huge reduction! Mine with lux/nav/ML weighed 3620 w/o driver. You're 180 - 200 lbs lighter w/o driver.

Thanks Lobux.

I weigh just 160lbs, secondary cats pulled out saved me 7lbs, Tanabe is several lbs lighter than stock, spare and jack removed saved another 20lbs, the tires are lighter than the stock Dunlops and my gas was below 1/4. I also run with the engine covers off.

congrat bro, very nice times. You ran 13.2 without trying, I can't wait to see your results when you're really trying for ET.

Excellent work James!!!!

Nothing like spending an entire day at the track and leaving with a 1st Place Trophy in our class..

Glad to know almost all of the lowest 1/4 miles runs in an N/A IS350 (on CL) haven proven power under the hood!!!

I can't wait till you break the 13.00 barrier... hopefully soon my friend!!

Heck yes James. Way to go! I figured you would take your 3rd place back on dragtimes you sumbish!

Your times are all excellent and look at all those sub 2.0 60' times. Awesome.

Your car looks funny with those lower profile rear tires. Looks like you are ready to do some wheelies.

I feel that with cool weather we will have some 13.0x IS's on the roads.
