Can you guys tell me which one I open to drain the oil? and my oil filter box is not removable. I can bent it away but cannot be taken out. I got very confused about the oil pan because 250 AWD look completely different from the regular 250 and 350. Here are the pics below, please help, i don't want to drain the wrong oil and ruin the car. thanks
Here is one spot:

This is my filter flap/box:

the thing is the first one looks like an oil pan but the second one is like a square box, maybe the 4wd oil? they should label the box because there is nothing in the owner mannual to show which is which.

Wow.. this even looks different from my cousin's IS250 AWD.
It should be the second one. The plug should sit at an angle, never parallel or perpendicular to the ground. The AWD has a non-removable flap for the oil filter. It should be closer to the front of the car, but the one you took a picture of doesn't look like it. By non-removable, I mean that you have to undo a screw and then bend it back. In my IS250 6MT, I can remove the flap entirely since it's only held by 3 screws. The AWD flap should only have one screw holding it in and the other side should look like a crease that's bendable. Inside, you'll see the oil filter canister, so if you don't see it immediately, you have the wrong one.
**EDIT** I take that back. The flap in the last picture is the correct one. The crease is on the right side of the picture. The screw to open should be the one on the very left edge of the picture. Undo it and the whole flap should bend towards the front of the car (to the right). That flap is very awkward and annoying. Prop it open with something while you work at the filter. Either that or just let it rest against your stomach.
It's weird. I guess they changed the configuration to accommodate the AWD system, but everything feels really different. I don't know why they couldn't just design a slightly cleaner layout that could do both. It took me a lot longer to change the oil in my cousin's car because I had to figure out where everything was all over again.

I'm still afraid to open the second one. It's does not look anything like an oil pan. Are oil pan suppose to be square on the AWD? The first set of three pictures showed a rectangular shape that looks more the the oil pan. The second set of three pictures are square and does not look anything like a normal oil pan. Anybody know for certain? This is an 07 IS250 AWD. I'm sure the 06 AWD should be the same. Anybody change the oil for an AWD before?

Having the same question after looking under my car having read the IS350 oil change procedure, I found the following step-by-step instructions with photos for the IS250 AWD here:

The front pan is definitely the engine oil even though you can see the front axles go in the sides of it. The front differential must actually be running in the engine oil which may be why the oil fill is 6.6 quarts.
