I hate to revive an old thread, but I installed this kit tonight and I'm noticing something weird...and I'm hoping someone might have some insight.

I took a trip around the block and I noticed when I press the NAVI button it appears to work every time. However, if I start off with the "TV" button pressed and the video is playing and then I switch to NAVI and let the passenger input an address, I usually can't seem to switch back to the video feed (regardless of whether or not the TV button is lit). I should note that I got the "picture" button back once on the audio screen, but the second time we input an address and went back to TV it wouldn't work no matter how many times we've tried.

Any thoughts on this topic?

P.S. Sorry if any of this is incoherent. It's kinda late here.

I hate to bump my own question, but I'm going to do it anyway because I know some of you have this unit.

Here's the scoop on the TV button (for me). If I hit it while at a stop, I get the picture option and the video will then display even when the car is in motion. If I hit the TV button while in motion, I never get the picture option and I can't display video.

Is this how the unit is supposed to work? Or do I have something hooked up incorrectly? ;-) I know there's a few of you out there with this unit, so your feedback is very much appreciative.

Replying to my own post is kinda tacky, but someone else might have the same question someday.

PS let me know that if you navigate away from the video screen you either have to hit the NAV button and hit picture and/or rotate through the inputs back to DVD again for the video to become available.

Just an FYI for other people that have this question. Thanks to PS

^ I was just going to write about how I work around that issue but you obviously figured it out.

Default Recommended installers for PS nav override kit in Norcal

Hi all,

I bought two of these kits from PS. They gave me a recommendation on an installer. Before I call that installer, was wondering if someone in Norcal has a recommendation of someone who has already installed one for them.

Also would be willing to pay someone who's done their own installation is and is interested in making a couple of extra bucks.

Please PM me if that works better. Thanks.

PM LED GUY, he is located in Norcal and he is a registered vendor on here.

The install is very simple. Only trick is removing the head unit. I'd recommend having an experienced hand like LED GUY do it for you. Not worth the risk in breaking those clips.
