Default Tires? Which Ones? Good? Bad?

I'm trying to figure out what tires are you IS350 guys running. All I need to know is brand and noise. Thanks fellas! Im trying to decide if I should get BFG KDW2s but Ive heard theyre noisy. If any of you guys are running these LMK about them please.

if you don't care about price i'd get michelin PS2s. Michelin makes great tires (quality and traction), and they're fairly quiet.

Im looking for anything under $1k with a 300 AA A rating, and its really between BFG KDWs or the FK452, Im more then positive the Falkens are more quiet but Im trying to get actual feedback.

Easy call. Goodyear F1 All Season..........400 Treadware, AA A Z rated. Check the forum a little more and you'll find a couple of the members who have them and seem to like um. That's what I'll be getting when I need a new set...

Can't compare treadwear ratings from different tire makers, it just doesn't work that way.

More useful might be anecdotal evidence from CL members and others (tirerack reviews, etc.) about actual mileage and driving style on a given set of shoes.

I have Falken FK452s and I can tell you they are noisy when they wear down. I hear Yokohamas are quiet even when they wear down. I don't know about traction and all that but I don't do any crazy driving so it is not much of a concern to me. I would like my next set to be quieter.

I am currently running Michelin PS2. They are pretty quiet so far. I've had them for about 6 months now. I make sure I check my tire pressure at least once a month, so the treadwear has been very good.

I used to have a set of Toyo T1R and I have to say they deliver very good performance and they are not noisy at all.

I think my next set will be Dunlops or Toyo if I don't purchase Michelin again.

What about Bridgestone Potenza RE050As? Pretty good tire and around $200/each.

Most of the cars sold out here on the west coast came with the Bridgestone RE050. Now the 2008s are showing up with Bridgestone ER33 tires.

I have the RE050 and presently have 12,400 miles and would guess I'll break 20,000 or more. Somewhat noisy on some road surfaces but otherwise a pretty decent tire. I see them on Porsche's, Mercedes and other high end cars

That said I plan on replacing them with Goodyear F1 All Season tires when the time comes.

I have a set of Toyo T1-Rs for my 20"s and they are great I was expecting the tires to be noisy because of the low profile on them, but to my surprise, they are actually very quiet! I highly recommend them!

Yeah, what is with that they consider the Turanza a "Grand Touring Tire" or something like that. I wonder if it does not perform as well as the RE050 which is also slightly cheaper...? A lot of manufacturers seem to be using that tire right now, BMW (albeit RFT), Infiniti, Nissan, and as you mentioned some of the other high-end makes.
