Has anyone taken their IS to the track...
I've been wanting to do this since day one but with all the proper break-in and summer coming to an end, we'll have to settle for next year. VIR
Anyone taken their IS to the track? How was your experience and was it a joy to drive?

Back in June I took my car to Texas World Speedway for an instructional event by www.thedriversedge.net The car handled very well and can hold its own. My instructor was impressed as thats the first 2IS to track at their events, and he uses a C5 Z06 as his track car. Handling is very neutral and forgiving of mistakes, transmission shifts quick, great power. I plan to go again sometime, they had another event last weekend but I was unable to make it. Probably next event I will have new tires.

I had a trip to the Nürburgring back in Summer. It was so much more fun than with my old Celica. Superb handling! Thou after 3 laps, the brakes needed a cooldown, fading had gotten intense. But the Ring is quite demanding to the car´s resources.
Will surely do it again.
