Replacement Chrome Bezel (Grill)
I was wondering if there is any way to get a replacement chrome (or non-painted) bezel (the chrome thing around the grill) to have it colour matched with my car. Since my car is leased, im trying not to tamper with any of the stock pieces so I'm looking to get a full replacement one so I can swap the stock one out for the colour matched one and swap it back in when the lease is up. Anyone have any suggestions on how I could go about getting this piece without having to go through the dealership (stealership )?

My local junk yard doesn't make the newer/more expensive cars available to the public, maybe I'll have to give them a call or something. What does hartawan's grill look like btw

^^^ I painted mine myself. (pic in the link on my sig) Overall, i'm pretty happy with mine. I have a black car and I would say that it's not a perfect match but looks pretty good as it blends in well, like it's part of the car, from a far view. However, close up you can tell it's separated and matches the grill better, not too glossy. I'm pretty happy with the job I did especially for spending less than $20. It just takes time and patience. You have to consider though that my car is black so it's not much of problem with color matching.
If your interested in painting it yourself, you can read below on the steps I followed.
Before painting, read the instructions on the spray can, ie: temparature when it should be done, etc...
To paint it, I sanded it first. That took about 30-40 minutes to sand it all the way through. It won't really get rid of the chrome, just dull it enough so that the primer would stick to it. Then wash it completely clean, use dishwasher soap to get rid of any oils in the bezel. Dry it completely then start spraying.
Then I got spray paints for car, primer, black and clear. Just follow the instructions on the can. Once the bezel is completely dry, spray a light even coat of primer. Wait around 2030 minutes for the next coat. After 3-4 coats of primer, slightly sand it again so make sure it's smooth. Then wipe it down with a dry cloth making sure no sanded particles are left over. I used a can duster to clean it up. Add a 2 more coats of primer allowing 20-30 minutes in between coats. After the last coat, let it dry for an 1-1.5 hours or more.
Then apply the black coat, Make the first coat very light, just enough to cover it. Let it dry for 20-30 minutes then add 1-2 more coats of black with 20-30 minute drying time in between coats. After the last coat of black, let it dry for 1-2 hours.
Then apply the clear coat. Apply a light one on the first coat then you can go heavy on the following if you want. Add 3-4 coats of clear coat allowing 20-30 minutes to dry in between coats. After the last coat, let it dry for 24 hrs or more if possible and your done.
