So do most of you guys have stock audio systems?? (not including add on subs)...just referring to changed out speakers and another amp...or anything along those lines....thinking about putting some new speakers in my 250...just wondering what others have done!!

hm.. after reading this i guess i'm in bad shape
with windows open: 55-max
with widnows closed: 45-55, of course it really depends on the song and how the copy is on my mp3 or cd, but usually i listen to music quite loud, but i guess i'll start to lower it

i'd like to know what everyones audio settings are at in terms of bass treble mid and fade, mines +3 bass +1 treb -1 mid and i think fade to the rear +3

I'll do about 35+ on CDs windows up, because I like hearing the full ML bass and treble. With the windows down I'll do 45+. I kept the stereo up while putting some air in my tires today, and at 35 it did not seem very loud next to the car, even with my door open and the sunroof open. So apparently I'm still not putting out enough bass to rock the 'hood.

Stock IS250 audio system. Rarely have it below 30 and for "good" music, 45-50. I was very surprised to see that the maximum volume is only 62! Based upon relative loudness, I estimate my last two BMW stock systems went to 100 clean. Now, you wouldn't want to listen at that volume for very long (unless you like live The Who concerts), but very occasionally... and very briefly................

(and yes, I would qualify as an "Old Fart"!!!)

Usually between 30 and 40. I turn it down when I drive into work or to church.

I'm usually at 40-42. That's about the level the bass in the stock system starts to have a lil bump to it.

Haa...Age is definately a factor.

I usually use my iPod through the Aux, and my ipod volume is 98%, and then i have the stereo at 55. I also have a system in my car, so if i dont have the speakers turned up, you'll hear a lot more of my subs in the trunk.

Radio and CD's a little less, but in the 45-52 range.

But i also live in Cali, and usually have my sun roof and windows open.
