I think it depends on the dealership. My dealer registered mine for free.

This thread has me worried now... I was always under the impression that you can switch out your original TMPS when you change wheels. Anyone know if that's possible? I am having some G Spiders put on, and I'm going to try to have them just switch over the sensors.

I believe that as long as they fit the wheel you should be good to go.
This string was for a 2nd set of wheels with new sensors indstalled

If you do a straight swap with the main sensors, you shouldn't have any issues.
