IS350 low volume car?
Before I took delivery of my IS350, I've looked around the Bay Area to find the ideal one. It wasn't an easy task since I wanted one w/o a Nav w/ a very popular color scheme (black/black). Sadly, I didn't get the color I wanted, but still very happy with White.
My sales guys all showed me what was being delivered to the Western region these couple of months and there isn't a whole lot.
Is the 350 really a somewhat low volume car for its class? Or is my sales guys pulling me leg. I'm not talking low volume production as in exotics because those are exclusive and shouldn't be compared. And when I say mass produced, i'm talking Camry, Civics, etc. Highly produced would be 3 Series BMWs.
Obviously, when comparing the IS350 to Camrys, it's relatively low volume. That's why I'm asking whether it's considered low volume IN IT'S CLASS because it irons out the imbalance.
I personally don't see a lot of 350s on the road, but a ton more BMWs. And I would consider most 3-series to be high production cars. So does that it make the 350s also high production cars? But less seen on the road because they are desired less?
It's nice knowing not so many ppl drive 350s, but it also scares me that it could also be because they just aren't BMWs.
I love my 350 regardless!

Dude if you live in california.... nothing is low in volume... california has so many dealers you are bound to find what you want....He is definately pulling your leg... he probably wants to sell you an IS250 like 3 dealers i went to did but I told them straight out I was ONLY interested in a IS350.... You will see like 5-7 times as many IS250s than IS350s....I have a habit of driving up to them when I see a IS to see what one it is...

To answer the question, I dont think the IS350 is LOW volume per se, just lower in comparison to the 250. I still see plenty of 350s on a daily basis.

Hahaha~
Not Many? I feel there are too many.
I guess that is how you feel when you just got your baby at new. I am in Southbay, and I see at least 5x 350 everyday during my lunch break and dinner eat-out in shopping plaza in Cupertino, Milpitas.
How sure am I? Cuz my wife frequently tells me "see another 350", "see another 250" which reminds me keep moding on her 350 to be special.
It is sillicon valley here, also it is a good car and that is why I see it everywhere.

IS350 production is somewhere in the 15-20% range (maybe lower from what I see on the street). Through October 45,000 IS's have been sold, or about 54,000 per year. So that's about 8,000 to 10,000 IS350's per year. In the world of automobiles, that's a pretty low production volume. Outside of CA you won't run into IS350's all over the place.

Plenty of IS350s here in Atlanta. Not impressed with the rattles in my 350. 8year old Tacoma has fewer rattles.
