Default Will tinting windows affect the warranty?

Thinking about tinting my windows, will that void any portions of my warrant? Just curious.

I figured it was a silly question. I was just thinking down the road if I ever had a rattle in the door or anywhere near the window, they could say "well it must have been caused by the guy who tinted your windows".

My guess is that he wouldnt want to remove $250 worth of tint/labor to fix a little rattle in his door

Come on guys, he is innocent!

Lex, no it won't affect any dealer warranty.
It is nice to have dark tints for front and rear but just watch out for cops.

Milking for my 1k post milestone! 3 more to go.

Yes, it has the same effect on the warranty as if you hang fuzzy dice on the rearview mirror.

If the guy installing the tint broke something during the install the dealer wouldn't cover that. Not very likely but it can happen. They use a heatgun during the install and they could melt plastic trim if they're really clumsy. Just go to a good tint shop and on the off chance they do mess something up make sure they fix it.

Ok if you are really worried about warranty you can ask the Stealer to install it for you. It will cost you an arm and a leg but they will replace all the parts that they damage while tinting for free. So if anything happens in the end it will still be under warranty cause the Stealer install it.
