Young, we should meet at the track next year. I'll talk my wife into going again but this time we'll have a better camera.
Looks like today was a good day for the IS350. Both Caymandive and ToothDoc set records.
Now.... do we keep trying to improve or are we happy with what we have?

Honestly, I think we're starting to hit the point of no more room for improvement. How many days in a year are we able to go drag racing where we have 30's, excellent traction, very low traffic, tailwind, etc.
I think if we're lucky, we might get down to 13.1xxx stock, but that's about it. I think next year, I want to start modding. I still want to keep my is as my daily driver so nothing drastic... but the single biggest item will probably be my choice in wheels/tires. I'll probably go 18's but lightweight. I'll keep the stock Dunlops until they're smooth then then maybe I'll go down one profile size - 35 instead of 40 and maybe 245's instead of 255. After that, I don't know what other mod I think I can do that will really improve my vehicle substantially besides losing the spare tire, tools, jack, and losing about 30 pounds personally. So, losing 40-50 pounds of rotational mass, 6% reduction in gearing, and losing another 100 pounds of static weight should get me into mid to high 12's... I think I might go after Caymandiver. I won't be "stock" anymore though. After that, I'll probably stop modding and start tracking. Once I start tracking, I'll probably start doing things like coilovers, maybe even lighter rotors, etc. But yeah, let me know whenever you wanna go - but I learned one lesson. Don't go if the track is wet - we'll just spin all day, don't go if it's over 80 degrees and humid (I only managed 13.8 last year in those conditions).
