Thanks man! Still see some swirls though , I used color specific polish but those things are deep I guess, looks like the previous owner washed the decklid with steel wool.

what kind of detail did you ask for? did you have to ask for metal polishing etc to get rid of any swirls? about how much is a job like this going to cost? thanks

I actually did this detail myself, I of course washed the car first, then I clay barred literally the entire car, after the clay I used color specific polish (black) and polished the god out of it, then I waxed it and finally used color specific detail spray. At the shop I work at they usually charge about $250-200 for a job like this depending of course how far gone the paint is.
^ i see. thanks since your the expert, how long does a job like this usually take? i also have some light swirls , so what kind of service should i ask for at the shop? thanks so much in advance

I think flush would be a right amount, but that's my preference, do as you please post if you ever get some installed! Still working on getting wheels myself, but with Christmas presents coming up, that will have to be delayed a bit..

Can you explain more about this "color specific polish"?
A polish is a liquid containing fine abrasives that, when used properly, will remove a small amount of your vehicle's clear coated surface to leave behind a smooth, shiny surface. The polishing process is a relatively slow and steady process.
^Polishing an Alpine White 335i with the Rupes Bigfoot LHR21ES Polisher, Menzerna PF2500 Polish, and 5.5" Lake Country Orange Light Cutting Pads
I do not see why a "color specific polish" would have any benefits as the polishing residue should be completely removed prior to applying any layer of protection. Perhaps you are using a sort of glaze rather than a polish?
The price point that you mentioned would lead me to believe this is not as in depth as a proper paint correction process.... or else the company you work for is severely undercharging (IMO) for that type of work :/

Yes, those are the basic steps.
HERE is a more in-depth detailing guide that walks you through the process.
