How to disable DRL's?

To elaborate on what Leotno said, it's a CBEST (Toyota body electronics) option that can be set with a factory scan tool. Technically, it's not one of the LPS (Lexus personalized settings), so the dealer is under no obligation to do this for you, and several dealers have refused citing safety concerns, but many here have had it done.

My local toyota dealership shut off mine when i bought my moms 08 Highlander and my nana's 08 Scion XD TRD Package. Go to a toyota dealership if its closer to you.

yeah its completely up to the dealership on if they'll do it, since its not an LPS, and was integrated into most toyota owned vehicles as a safety measure, if yours says no, complain a little bit (dont just moan and whine, try and like... convince/complain lol), and if that doesnt work try another dealership

Disconnect your DRL resistor and it will turn off your DRL. The low beam and hig beam control will work as normal. DRL is required in Canada so you guys are on your own on this one and may suffer the consequences if you did from your local law enforcement.
