Its true if you have more horses you are more tempted to use them =) which might explain for my 17 mpg average...but if I really want to I can achieve nearly 30 gallons on a tank...but thats very unlikely...

I wish i bought the IS350.... but i thought i would need the AWD. So far i haven't had any decent snow fall to really need it. IS350 with a good set of snows would have worked for me.

Dropped off my 350 at the dealer this morning, they gave me a 250 as a courtesy car. If I would have test drove this car, I would haved dismissed the IS all together. The non ML stereo is horrible and the car is unbearably slow. Just my 2 cents, sorry 250 owners...

My 250 isn't that slow. And to those who say the S4 isn't faster, mine sure was. My friend had a 350 and I had an 05' S4. When we would mess around I would win everytime, convincingly, and I had a tiptronic. Not to start an argument, but the 350 is by no means a rocket and even if it was who cares if you have a fast car that doesnt handle well. Not to mention it is a lexus, you look like a moron driving a car like a lexus like a hot rod.

Heres a better idea than asking other people what to do...... Test drive both IS250 and the IS350. The AWD doesn't matter since you live in Cali. Test drive both and you will have your answer. Don't listen to us were all bias based on false pretenses of others cars. The IS250 and the IS350 are both capable of getting great gas mileage, the handling is practically the same between the two; get the sport susp. which you can get on both models 250 and 350. The brakes and power are the two biggest diffences. So once again take the test drive, we don't matter its your wallet and your car.

This isn't a comparison with an S4- 250 vs. 350. You sound like your'e really trying to sell yourself on that 250...
since you brought it up, stock for stock the S4 only has 31 more horsepower and is a tenth of a 2nd slower 0-60. Not to metion the legendary Audi quality... (and yes, be real, you are trying to start an argument)
Way to pull out the Lexass attitude to make your point!

No regrets here at all. I bought it more for luxury, not speed. It still had more pickup than my old car did so I am quite happy.

Besides, being 23 and owning my first Lexus, nothing to feel regret about

I got AWD, so I really had no choice. I regret that Lexus didn't give the 250 another 50hp. But if the 350 offered AWD, I would probably have gone with the G35x based on price.

No regrets here. Only regret is not getting Lux or Mark Levinson.
