Any regrets getting IS 250 instead of IS 350 or vice versa?

I think I've made this same post about 10 times since I signed up on this forum... but anyway: the IS250 is perfect for me. I have a fast car (450rwhp Z06) that I race, a lot. There is NO point in a 350 for me. Compared to the Z06 it's still slow, and gets about the same mpg. The 250 gives me all the luxury of a Lexus (I have NAV, heated/cooled seats etc.), the amazing interior, the quality, the looks (I like it, some call it a "girl's" car) etc. The car drives amazingly well and serves its purpose spot on.

as a IS350 owner, the only thing i regret is the rear seat space.. at first it was ok for me and never had a problem, but now about 1 1/2 year later, i drive my gf's family members or even my own family around and it's starting to get to me... now it's not even about speed.. i'm hoping to switch to a GS soon as much as i love the IS350...

Heres a better idea than asking other people what to do...... Test drive both IS250 and the IS350. The AWD doesn't matter since you live in Cali. Test drive both and you will have your answer. Don't listen to us were all bias based on false pretenses of others cars. The IS250 and the IS350 are both capable of getting great gas mileage, the handling is practically the same between the two; get the sport susp. which you can get on both models 250 and 350. The brakes and power are the two biggest diffences. So once again take the test drive, we don't matter its your wallet and your car.

i love the is350. Ive had an 2005 s4, 97 m3 and now my is350 and i have to say that hands down i think the 350 is the smartest decision out ofthe three. the s4 has **** on the is350. the interior i hated, the car itself was a pain in the *** to manage, and as far as speed oges. believe me the is350 is alot more refined and overall build quality is top notch. The m3 i had alot of fun with but it was time to get rid of it and im glad i did. the is350 is defintly FAST. handling may feel a bit soft but it doesnt cost alot of money to improve. I think the is350 is by far the winner our of any car out there. Lexus reputation, reliability, comfort,, classyness, and pride of ownership out perfrom any other.

glazer,
You are already planning on getting the 350. You are obviously drawn to the 350 over the 250 otherwise you would have been asking "which one should I get?". I was also drawn to the extra power/acceleration, etc. But my wallet forced me to consider the 250 as well--so I test drove both.
In the end, I decided it was worth it to spend more on the extra power and I don't regret that decision. But as mentioned, the decision has to come from you because you are the one who will ultimately pay for the car.
For what it's worth, the 250 is an outstanding deal when you consider what you get for the price. And it drives very well.

No regrets here, I wasn't going to sacrifice color and options combos (not to mention exceeding my predetermined budget) just to get a 350. My 250's got way more power than my Accord 4 banger ever did.

Exactly my thoughs. I am 24, I own a sweet *** ride I bought myself and it is definitely fast enough for me. Plus, being a consultant I drive to clients all the time, and at 3.89 a gallon I could not be more happier with my mpgs.
