650 a year with Allstate. I have 2 other cars on my policy, so there is a bit of a discount there. Driving for 20 years with no accidents or tickets.

A few things contributed to the discount that's why it's so cheap. I also have the whole 10 yards for example medical, uninsured, rental, towing, again $250/250 deductible on both etc.

It consists of multiple car discount, home insurance, mature/good driver discount. So if this kinda fit under your category, let me know and I'll gladly give you the info.

Have you tried USAA. I have the exact same coverage through them but only at $250 deductible. For all 4 of my cars it runs close to $1500 per year.

- 23 year old male
- full time 3.0+ college student, 9 miles one way
- part time worker 2.3 miles one way
- full coverage, rental $24 per dat up to 20 days, tow, etc...
- $1000 deductable
- 2 speeding tickets in past two years
- 1 "at fault" accident with an 06' WRX, total loss, Farmers wrote a $23,500 check for me.

How much do I pay now?

$4,135.11 a year under my own name and for a 2006 IS350. I have my payments divided up so I pay $1378.37 every 4 months. I am with Farmers, and this is the only major company that will have me insured under my own name and only because I was under my dads policy, who has been with Farmers for many years. Also our agent is a family friend who does his best to get us discounts/keeping me insured.

So after May 2011, then will I start to see a drop as my record will be "clean" again.

why do you guys have such low deductibles??? are you all in areas prone to theft or in areas with bad drivers? ie low deductible = higher premiums, sure you have to come out of pocket with higher premium but over time with no issues you would have saved more money especially if nothing happens to begin with. just my .02

Your insurance is high because you're 19, presumably male, living in California, and driving a car with 300+ hp.

The bean counters at the insurance company have figured out through the years that you're (statistically) a much higher risk than, say, the guy a few posts down from yours in Idaho.

I have a question, when you turn 25, does your insurance rates go down immediately or does it happen the year after? How much have people seen the rates go down?

I have a low comprehensive deductible and a higher collision deductible. I trust myself not to hit other people, but I don't trust them to not back into my car in a parking lot, or for someone to key it.

The comprehensive deductible has a very small impact on premiums, contrary to the collision deductible.

P.S. "full coverage" doesn't mean anything and can be interpreted in a large number of ways.

Yes it does. But It does make a difference if you are a voting member of USAA or just a consumer of its insurance products.

Very true. There are also other factors that some people don't realize (and are beyond their control). For example, we have *a lot* of 'imports' from California and Mexico here in the Boise area (over the past 5 years), and if I lived in the county right next store (Canyon as opposed to Ada) my insurance premiums would go up about 15% because there is a higher percentage of 'illegals' that don't carry insurance.

Just thought that was very interesting, so I thought I would share.

$138.00 a month full coverage in Miami,Florida. Thank god I was a responsible driver when I was younger if not the insurance would have sure killed me.

Rob: wow $250.00 a month is still a lot, I have All State. What company do you have?
