26yr male
Houston
Full coverage $11400/yr ($95/mnth) GEICO
(Nearly lol) Clean driving record
2010 is350
I would definitely suggest shopping around. State Farm was $140/mnth for the EXACT same coverage.

My wife and I (young 30's) have clean driving records and good full coverage insurance on 2006 IS350 and 2006 Rav4 V6 for about $350 every 6 months. We both have no accidents and no tickets in 5+ years. (I know its a $500 deductable, and I think coverage is 100/300k)
6 years ago when I bought my S2000, I was with nationwide and they wanted to charge me almost $200/mo to add an S2000 as a third car since I was in my twenties. I shopped around and went with progressive, we had 3 cars and our insurance stayed about the same as it was with nationwide witih 2 cars (about $110/mo at the time). Strange, but worth shopping around.
Last year when I moved from OH to AZ, progressive wanted to nearly double my insurance, stating that AZ had higher accident and theft rates. I shopped around and ended up at Geico for less than what I was paying in OH and about half of what progressive quoted me.
Moral of the story... SHOP AROUND!

Online/800-number is the best bet for cheaper insurance - little to no commissions are being paid via that route and a lesser premium is almost a certainty.

And try to avoid insurance offices or insurance brokers - they tend to make a good commission off selling you insurance. I have a friends brother who sells for state farm - his agency gets about half of the premium with the other half going to st farm to purchase the insurance. Needless to say, I dont buy through him, and neither does my friend.

Membership is mandatory when applying. I find the membership very useful and worth it. Not to mention numerous of discounts everywhere i.e. hotels, rentals, restaurant and more.
Lastly, they have a policyholder dividend every year that you get from the total premium amount you paid.
Did I mention after 1 year you get a 5% loyalty discount?
I don't work for AAA, but I've had them with me for 2 years now. I am very satisfied.

andy350, seeing as to how you are new to the ClubLexus forums and the 2is section, please familiarize yourself with the FAQ/DIY section and the search function:
2is FAQ/DIY
in ^, you'll find that there's a thread (THIS ONE) on how much 2is owners are paying for insurance, though as everyone else has chimed in so far, it's a combination of factors (age, gender, driving record, age/make/model of vehicle, etc.).
for future reference, instead of posting a new thread about something that's been covered many times, over, use the SEARCH function to help answer your question.
thank you, and welcome to ClubLexus.

Very true. AAA doesn't make money from our premium (Don't have to worry about getting ripped off). However, they do on membership of $49.

The discounts they have on hotels, restaurants and rentals are a joke, marketing gimmick. I find better deals anywhere else even tho AAA is the first place to check. I never end up using their "discounts"

My experience with AAA was exactly the opposite. They were trying to bundle my auto and home insurance and give me a higher rate that I was paying separately. When I asked about auto insurance only they gave me double the rates I'm paying with Geico with the same coverage.
