a lot of you guys seem to get really emotional like a 40 yr old man in a mid life crisis. "i need a fast car"... i already done all that, so i lived part of my life already. some of u guys are still making up for it. lol
ROFL, I've explained myself before and i'll do it again for you:
I AM 40yrs old and I AM going thru midlife , this is the FIRST 4dr automatic car I have ever bought. All my life its been 2dr standard sport (sporty) cars so... I wanted a change to something more responsible (act my age kinda thingy) thus a 4dr automatic Lexus If i wanted "i need a fast car" I wouldnt have walked into a Lexus stealership in the first place right?

It wasn't pointed directly to you... had no idea you were 40 either. lol BTW act your age would be in the GS/LS... IS is for 16-30ish IMO. Whatever works.
If anyone wants to know, I have personally taken both cars to the drag strip. The IS does 13.5 and the GS does 14.1 @ 101. Honestly I was very impress at the fact that the GS can trap 101 with that heavy body.
Weight isn't nearly as much of a factor on trap speed as it is on ET.
in terms of performance wish i got a 335i... but since im keeping this car im glad i got the is350...wtf is this tread about...
A MODDED 335 is faster in a straight line - but based on dragtimes, IS350's are faster than 335i stock vs. stock.
For pure driving performance on a track, maybe the 335 is faster, but you know what? I don't think I've ever pushed my car hard enough to drift more than 1 foot on the street. I've never tracked yet - and I believe 99% here haven't either.
