It's good they updated it for you, but I wouldn't have driven 44 miles out of my way just because the Nav told me to. It's a guide, not an infallible map. The final decision of which route to take under current conditions remains with the driver. Lexus did you a favor, but they were under no obligation to do so.

there is a tsib for the nav update. occasionally mine goes crazy but its obvious - the car is not on the road on the screen.
the updated nav disk eliminates the i agree screen but you also lose the 2006 bypass.
if i choose to get it done i will probably wait a couple of years right before warranty expries. i hate to lose the bypass so i may not; i dont lose satellite signal often.

FYI's
1) The Nav DVD is inserted in to a completely different slot which is hidden behind the clock assembly.
2) The "I Agree" button is now gone because you were updated with the newest Nav Disc which is v 07.1
(for Lexus cars found in North America)

It was a major interstate, and according to the Navi there were 2 exits for the road I was supposed to get off, a North exit and a South exit, well in acutally there was only one exit, which you couldn't tell until it was too late, and the next exit that you could get off of the interstate and turn around was 22 miles away.

Lexus updated my navi software a few months ago. I was actually down in the Keys went it went hay wire and it showed me as driving over the ocean for the whole drive back!! Mine was replaced for free as well. It was covered by a TSIB.

hey lexusscguy,
When they gave you the update, they gave you the disc with the 2008 maps too?
I thought the TISB only fixed the NAV floating around issue, and you would only be getting new Firmware update, but would still be stuck with the 2006 maps....
I'm attaching the TISB for anybody thinking of bringing their's in too.

For the TSIB, they only give you the Data Version you currently have, so if you have 6.1 you get 6.1 with the fix, I didn't have that problem with the NAV floating. I got the newest Data Version 7.1, because I complained that the Maps were incorrect on Version 6.1.

No it was 22 miles, there are alot of interstates in Florida that the exits are very far apart. One example is the Florida turnpike, there are 2 exits on it that are over 50 miles apart, with nowere to get off inbetween.
