Default Just a little introduction

Not sure if this is the place for this or not, but I figured I'd introduce myself. I just ordered a SGM '08 IS250 RWD 6 speed, now it's time for the long wait for delivery!

I went with the HID's, ML Audio, X Package, Dual Sport Exhaust with Ground Effect, and Rear Lip Spoiler. I wanted the Nav package, but my goal was to stay under $500/mo. The only other disappoint was that I couldn't get the perforated leather without wood trim. I wish the Sport Package were available on the 250. Oh well, overall I'm pretty happy with my order, can't wait till it comes in!

Aside from that, I have a '91 300ZX that I have been daily driving for way too long and just recently stored it away for sunny days and track days only. I actually bought it in June '06 with 62,000 miles on it, and it's sitting in my garage today with 103,000. That's depressing, haha.

I've also got an '02 BMW 745Li. I plan to sell it here in a couple months or so though, I really just don't need it. It's great, but it doesn't make sense for a daily driver. Not to mention I'm 22 and there's really no need for a car like that at my age, unless you're just that stuck on impressing people. I figure the Lexus is impressive enough and much more practical, haha.

Anyway, that's about it I guess. Glad to be a member, seems like a very informative website. Oh, and since I am introducing myself, my name's Justin.

Hah, no problem. I meant to change it earlier today when I read the size limitations but I forgot. Thanks for the welcome!

I'm not sure if the average customer can get it quicker than me or not, but mine will take 3 months for delivery. I work for Toyota Production Engineering and was told that vehicles we order that are made in North America will take 4 months for delivery while vehicles made in Japan will take 3 months. Not sure how Japan gets them to us faster, but that's what I was told, haha. The dealership never would tell me how long it would take, but the lady I talked to over the phone at Toyota Motor Sales said it would take about 3 months.

Oh, and I ordered mine a couple weeks ago, but the order won't be processed until Dec. 12th, so I'm looking at around March.

So apparently I ordered the ML Audio package without actually knowing what it is. I've heard talk of a DVD player? Or is that just with the ML/NV package?

Yeah, I'm not sure how extensive the mods will be, but I definitely want to do a few things to it. What kind of power are people able to pull out of the 250's?

You can only play DVD's with the ML and Nav package. IMO you should have gotten the nav, as it makes the dash look a LOT nicer, but that's your choice.
