Default How would I go about fixing this deep scratch?

This happened a month after I bought the car and now 10 months later I think I should get it fixed. It's a deep scratch down to the metal and I bought Lexus Touch Up paint to to temporarily fix it.

Definitely a repair and repaint job. If it is down to the metal don't ignore it as rust will eventually take hold, and then you'll have an even bigger problem.

A good detailer will be able to fix that without a repaint.

What can a detailer do to fix it? I think my best option was an auto body shop that might cost somewhere $300+

That long line to the right of the bottom scratch is about 10" long

A detailer does not do paint job. The scratch is deep enough that it's missing a good amount of paint. Now unless the detailer can add touch-up and wetsand, you'll need to take your car to some kind of body shop.

You will rarely find an outside detailer who has the time to touch up the car and wetsand for their customer. Minor scratches they can probably fix, but not a missing chunk down to the primer or metal..

They have instructions on autopia.org on how to fix these chips. I'm not a detailer by trade but I have all of the equipment to do it. I followed the directions, spent about $15 on touch-up paint and some really fine sandpaper (I already had the PC, pads, polish etc.) and did it myself. It didn't turn out perfectly but unless you were looking for the repair, it wasn't noticeable.
