Default From an Evo to an IS 250 AWD?

I most recently sold my Blue By You Evo in favor of something new, and I can't keep my eyes of the IS 250. I love the look and love the interior, I even enjoy the paddle shifting of the auto but wondered if anyone went form the tuner/rally style cars and did not regret it or enjoyed the IS. I love interior tech and comfort but I love style also and want a car that has them all but also has durability. Can the IS 250 be fun and sexy or just sexy? Also, if anyone is selling an 06 AWD IS 250 let me know, in michigan or near, thanks!

I came from a fully modified Evo to a 350 and it was a great decision. I know you're specifically talking about the 250. But I'm sure you'll have the same experience. Just in terms of reliability, luxury, comfort, customer service, dealership experience, not worrying about voiding your warranty, not dealing with every kid with an exhaust wanting to race you, etc....

I've driven the 250 before and it still fun to drive and equally as sexy as the 350. Do it!

I came from a 300+ whp STI and I drive a RWD IS250 MT, all I miss is the power, the IS handles very well and I honestly don't think the AWD is worth it on the IS...

This is coming from someone that loves AWD...

I think it's worth it if you live in Michigan.

In FL probably not, but other states like here (in New York) its on high demand. AWD250 is a great all season car

I live in Windsor, Ontario, but I commute to Michigan to work everyday...My IS250 AWD performs and handles amazingly well in the winter and its fun as heck to drive on michigan highways and backroads in the summer! You'll enjoy the IS!

I personally think that the AWD is worth it if you're in MI.

I think you would definately miss the power... although I own an IS350... I have driven my friends' is250 and evo... and there is a huge gap in power between the two...you might want to consider getting the IS350 or looking for another awd car with more power if you can't live with that much less...

Here is my .02, as I just did the EXACT same thing as you.

I sold my BBY 03 EVO about 4 months ago and picked up a SGM 07 IS350.

I personally would not have been able to deal with the lack of power that the IS250 suffers from, which is why I went with the 350. I am very happy, and while at times I do miss the AWD and pure tuner car feel, the step up in luxury and smoothness easily makes up for it.

I say drive them both and you decide, but I personally could not have gone with the IS250, I would have gone insane.

if your coming from an EVO, a modded one as well, the 250 is not ganna make you happy. power wise. other than that IS250 is a great car. but i opt for more power so i went with the 350.

i would just go test drive both then make your decision.

An is250, You won't be happy about the performance but it is a gentle car!

Quality first, the nature of Toyota...

Modifications you will need, for a sexy car. No car is sexy without modding.

My opinion only.

Sold my 06 evo IX MR for a IS250. I regret it every day. The Evo did everything better besides the lack of cruise control. I'm going to ditch the lexus after winter and get a c6 and call it a day.

350 would be closer to the HP-wise vs. Evo......
