That would be my understanding.
I think your ML list is correct but I'm not sure if the non-ML has the 2 speakers behind the back seats I think there just 3 each in the back doors as well.

The non ML system doesn't have rear deck speakers and that's the main reason why the sound system is pretty crappy.

Rear speakers are designed only to add a spacial sound... give the sound less of a directional source. I believe the Non-ML system sounds excellent.

I am willing to bet that both ML and Non-ML systems have no speakers behind the back seats, other than the sub. there are 3 speakers in all four doors. a lowrange (6"-8"), midrange (2"-3.5"), and a high range (.75"-1").

For $940 i'd buy a JL W7 10" in JL box and a 500/1. i only listen to rap so all i need is clean bass. the factory speakers with the bass down are clear enough for my likeing.

The ML HAS speakers on the rear deck.
