Default Sandbags in trunk?

Anyone put any sandbags in the trunk of their 250/350 RWD cars? I have 18" snow tires on and I am still looking to add some more traction.

Can't be good for your rear suspension.

I don't know how many would really be appropriate. I can buy them in 70lb bags. If I put two of them in the trunk, that is only 140lbs....., which is still less than one person. Why would it be bad for the suspension?

i havent tried but i would say go for it. i also tried the snow tires and the car still is lacking traction. i did this in a few cars with out the snow tires and it was a big help. many benz and bmw owners do this.

i plan to go look this weekend. you can find sand tunes from what i recall at some of the hardware stores. i think they where like 50 or 75# tubes. i would get 2 and you should be good between both.

i personally don't think its a good idea......back in the day there were live axle suspensions.....now RIS......so extra weight will get the wheels to butterfly out....sort of like lowering the car....decreasing tire patch

i think....???
