Default Winter tires going bald in the center?

Anybody else having issues with the winter tires going bald in the center but not at the edges? I have literally 3/32 tread in the center of my rear snowtires but almost 3x that at the edges? I know that's a sign of too much pressure - but I only have or had 37 PSI which is the recommended PSI. Maybe it's an issue with the Pirelli snowsport 240s - maybe they're not designed to hold that much PSI. BTW, this is the third winter with these tires. I just put an order in for 245 40 18's Dunlop 3D rear snow tires yesterday. The front snowsports are barely worn.

If you have always had yourcar serviced at the dealer and you kept records of your maintenance, you might be able tohave them cover yourtires. Since theyare responsiblefor the maintenance of yourcar as they are the ones maintaining it. Checking tire pressure should be a common procedure while thay do anoil change... even Jiffylube does it.

I highly doubt that they will cover a normal wear and tear item like this. They can not constantly keep track of what you do to your car.

The problem is that it only snows a few times during the winter. But, I do use them for 5 months of the year Dec - Apr. My lead foot during those 5 months is what probably wore out the rears. My summer tires have rear tire wear problems also, but they are not bald in the center - just evenly bald. So the question is, are these winter tires not designed to hold as much PSI as summer? The car is SUPPOSED to be at 37 PSI rear which it ALWAYS is +- 2 psi.
