I've been looking at the market and came across this ...I think there might be something wrong with it but I haven't checked it out....
I thought the ideal price for an 07 IS250 would be around mid 30K...anyhow saw an 07 IS250 AWD, leather interior...low miles...I believe around 5K miles on it...they are asking for about $27k? Not sure what other options it has but I want to KBB.com and kept the defaults and retail price was $37k.
I'm thinking this car might be salvage
....just wanted to get some opinons...
I'll have to check it out sometimes...it just that we have bad weather right now...snow/ice/sleet...ugh what joy!
Any opinons would be appreciated!

That car definitely has something wrong with it. Its too out of the average price range for an IS with that many miles and that year. Plus I have been looking online for an IS (and I have been successful!
) and a car with 5 K miles/07'/AWD, would be the lowest at like 34K. So that deal is very suspicious, I would just ignore it and pretend it doesn't exist cuz that car is trouble.

It's worth a look. Is is a private seller? Did it have nav? I bought my '07 AWD in the spring. I searched cars.com daily trying to find a bargain, without luck. Most of what I found were cars that had fewer features, for a higher ask price than I paid new. BUT--most of those listings were dealers, so I'm sure there was play in the price.
That said--I don't think I saw any AWDs, even '06s, for that price.

thanks for the inputs.
I still haven't gotten a chance to check it out. We just got about 4 inches of snow...ugh!
It's not a private seller. It's a small local dealer ...

Good luck and just think..... Once you have the AWD you can go out in 4" of snow no problem. I am praying for snow just so my AWD has purpose.

I often wondered how small wholesale lots end up with almost brand new cars. Ask the guy the history of the car and you'll hear the story of a lifetime. There's a reason why a 35k car is sitting on a wholesale lot and not on a dealer lot. My advice: NEVER buy a late model car from a wholesale lot.

Used IS 250's are hard to find on Lexus lots. They would love to have some.
If there's a IS 250 on a wholesale lot chances are the car has had some issues.

FYI - I called yesterday but the guy didn't seem to be too friendly. I'd ask what price are they asking for and he was like "Where did you see this, in a newspaper or something" I told him autotrader.com and he's like well what does it say on there. I told him the price and he was like there you go.
I'll probably just keep on looking. I'd just hate to pass on a great deal ...too bad I don't have a carfax account...
Thanks for all the input and advice.

Remember asking prices are just that..asking prices.
They're marked up high.
I see Lexus ads for '06 AWD for $32K.New they were $35K.Ridiculous.
You should easily get minimum 10% off.I shoot for at least 15-20% on a used vehicle.
