To the OP, are you using 4100k or 4300k bulbs? I wanted to do this to my car but I think it's a mission to get it done if you have the stock HID and AFS.
I still would perfer a nice purple 10000K. they look better during the day time. Saab has some really blue lights. Call me noob

sabb's bulbs are not even close to 5000k my friend, it's the projectors that create blue lights.

I am using the stock 2IS HID setup. The 4300k D4S bulbs with the D4S Denso Slim Ballast. I had to custom to bulb to fit the projectors because it accepts the D2S bulbs.

I was thinking about retroing some mini bocsh projectors, but I don't know if that is too much light plus its going to be too bright for fog on the road. Also I'm limited on time right now, I am about to go to Iraq.

The Saabs are using the same color temp as the stock 4300k, its just how the projector is designed. It's also the flicker, in different angles it looks really blue, purple or even green sometimes. Just like mine.

I basically swapped out my halogen projectors with SC430 projectors and I also swapped out the lens on the projector for E30 clear lens, which is from a 89-91 bmw 3 series projector. I also spaced the lens so that it would be a little bit further from the bulb to give off the color that you see in my cut off.

did you try spacing the lens out with the washer method before doing the retro? i wonder if that'll do anything for the cutoff?

No, I don't have afs, I had the halogen projectors in the beginning. I'm sure you can do it, just have to custom some brackets.

Washer mod and spacing lens is about the same thing, you're just basically moving the lens further away from the bulbs. I got all the info on the projectors and lens from HIDplanet.com and they said that this is the best way to do it.

I just found my other pic that shows the purple on the cutoff

Here you go

I don't think it would be a good pic to compare, but the bottom cutoff is the 2IS projectors.
