When I had my G35 coupe I had a set of projectors modified by a G35driver.com member. He used TSX lenses, and adjusted them to have a nice color/cutoff. When I bought my IS I could not believe it did not have HID's stock. Although I now have a HID kit installed nothing beats the real thing. These are pics from my G35. I never thought I would be so obsessed with headlights. I may just get the nerve to try a retro myself.

not suppose to be back till mid jan 09, as stated in the orders, but never know there's always extensions or they cut it down. What service is your friend in? Also where is his unit? I'm in the Marines and unit is in San Jose. At first they said it was going to be Jan 2 now they said Jan 7 I will be leaving.

I used 06' G35 projectors, with TSX lenses & Phillips 6k bulbs. These pics were taken before I made any adjustments to the alignment.

Good job! I came from hidplanet.com as well when i did my rs6 retro on my previous 2k1 civic. I couldn't believe lexus didn't design a more stylish cutoff like the competitors. As someone previously noted even Maxima's have a nicer cutoff. I have stock 2IS HID's and im gonna try the washer technique or try to use my old RS6 clear lenses when the weather gets decent here in NY. I know how difficult it is just getting these lights working normally. There's no such thing as a write-up for these things because every projector has different dimensions and the whole "retrofit" defines a process that isn't a simple replacement. Alot of trial and error comes into play when working on these projects. Good luck in Iraq and keep posting whenever you get the chance.
