Default Is a polished lip hard to maintain?

I am think about getting hyper silver rims with a polished lip. I remember have a pair of some kind of polished rims and the were really hard to keep clean. Post examples if you can, thanks.

Hmm... talking about car wash...
I am sure you can find more washing tips in Maintenance Section of the blog.
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/maintenance-11/

If it is a single-piece wheel, 30 min maximum during my wash.
If it is a multi-piece wheel, 40 min minimum for me to wash off and air out the trapped water.

Soap, water, soft paint brush (for lip area), and long brush (for wheel barrel) work the best.

edit
You can get long brush in Kragen/Pepboys... something like this:

Modify your brushes to make sure they won't scratch your wheel.

Have fun!

Polished lips look great when they're kept polished, but that's quite a bit of extra work. There's no question that it's more work to maintain an aftermarket wheel with a polished lip.

Multi-piece wheels can also be a challenge. Water gets trapped easily, and the suckers get out of balance when you drive in the rain.

What kind of lip do you have (polished silver or chrome) and do you have a pic?
