Windshield Rain
Just got a 08 IS250 1 week ago, and when it rains even a light rain i cant see out of the front windshield. Even with the wipers on full blast it is very hard to see. You guys got this problem?

The water doesnt seem to bead off, it just stays there. I dont think I should have to use rainX for a 1 week old new car. The dealership said that I have to let the windshield "breakin" before it will bead?

The issue is that the car is covered in a material called cosmoline to resist corrosion when its on the boat. This is removed at the port. You've got residue on the glass.
Go to the store and by some detailers clay and some quick detailer to use as lube. Clay the windshield, once you do that you'll have no problem.

Alright, I'll get specific: Rain-X uses sulfuric acid to 'etch' your glass so that the hydrophobic liquid can bond. These etches show up as micro scratches and pores which is what blinds you in the morning and evening when the sun is at the wrong position.
