Question Rim Rash?

Since it looks like most people on this forum are purchasing such expensive rims, how are you all keeping them from getting screwed up.

Any one have any suggestions on how to take care of rims that are $3500+

I live in NY so i have to park near curbs alot, any suggestions on how to avoid curbrash etc.

park on the curb..u'll be free or incoming traffic but prone to sidewalkers..curb rash is damn near impossible to miss but u just have to judge where the car is and how far away u are from the curb. since i got my car, havent curbed it once but the rims have curb rashes everywhere...also helps that i have 60 series tires.

im guessing the 60 series tires means... a wide tire that extrudes out past the rim. lol and how do you have curb rash if you never curbed it.

In a place like NYC you will get curb rash. No matter how careful you will be you will eventually curb it. "The first cut is the deepest"

I cant stress this enough: anytime you have tires put on or off make sure you bring it to someone that has plenty of experience with low profile tires. Curb rash can be easily caused by a tire machine and a rookie mechanic.
