Uhh . . I am finding it hard to believe that a IS350 can beat a 335i sedan. I am almost sure that the sedan is quicker than the coupe as well.

Nice set of cars. I agree with the rest of you guys, no way the 335i coupe is going under 40k, and the srt8 is over 40k as well. These mags need to do a better job in comparing cars.

yaya whatever.. ive beat 335i's and the IS350 is faster than the new Evo.. is freakin slower then the last generation..
the IS350 gets first or second hands down.. what if road and track made a comparo..? IS350 got 13.5 1/4 mile and 4.9 0-60mph for them..

This thread is about Car & Driver's article on the 10 Fastest Cars between 30 and 40K. If this turns into yet another pissing match between the IS350 and the 335i it will be closed, FAST. Please restrict your comments to the article mentioned in the original post.

It never fails - every time a thread takes this direction people wind up getting banned...

LOL everytime the subject of the 335i comes up on our board the mods have to step in

Guys its really quite simple, both cars are evenly matched, its a drivers race MEANING its up to the 335i driver to either win or lose, we just have to mash the pedal The thing is, BMW owners seem to the think that by just buying the 335i they've also bought the skills of John Force and M.Shumacher.

Now for us is350 pilot's... We seem to think we bought 'sport cars', hey if you wanted a 'sports car' you wouldnt have walked into a Lexus dealership in the first place right?

Now that i have proven myself unbiased let me just say:

for the IS350, it's easy to pull off magazine numbers if you are a good driver since it's just auto.. with the 335i, they said you would have to have a good launch and MT to pull off those numbers.. sedan based, it's down to the drivers in real life situation.. stop using magazine numbers to compare a 335i sedan especially when we know Edmunds and C&D is biased against Lexus.. 335i sedan, it depends on if it's MT and how well the driver is..

i have respect for BMW.. i'm feelin the 335i coupe..
