Well just completed a deal over the phone for the trade in on my 05 G35 coupe. I will be picking up an 08 IS250 6MT black on black. I test drove the car about a week ago and I was amazed. I thought I would be disappointed going from a 2 door coupe to 4 door sedan, but the IS is so luxurious. It makes the inside of my G35 feel very cheap and dated. Just wanted to say hi and I look forward to contributing to this forum in the future.

Welcome to CL and one bit of advise, IF you should start modding your car remember... THERE IS NO END... trust me i know

Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes. To answer some of the questions: No pictures yet because I haven't picked the car up. It is being detailed and I am picking up tomorrow night. As far as the difference in performance from a G35 coupe you guys are correct. It is a bit of a downgrade in performance, but everything else is a major improvement. My fiancee is also a big fan of the IS so I figure if I get the sport coupe bug I can always trade her car in and give her the IS.

Haha, actually this will be my very first manual transmission car. My fiancee taught me how to drive stick shift when we started dating and her new car, 07 MX-5 is manual. I love driving that thing and figured why not get my next car with a manual.

welcome. I too felt the g35 interior was cheap also the new c class. thats why i picked up a is2. Is my first manual too although i have driven a manual car plenty of times.. you will like it despite all the negative complaints with the manual. welcome to the club.
