I have never owned a car that had seats this bad. They have zero thigh support and zero back support. Why do Japanese cars skimp on one of the more important features in a car. This car would be horrible for road trips. The car actually causes me to sloutch when I drive and causes back pain.
The seat heaters and coolers are a joke as well. The heated seat barely gets warm and the cool feature or vent feature is useless, it is non operational.
god I miss the recaros in my S4.

I will say, at the 07 new car show here, the leather trimmed vw GTI seats fit me like a glove from just stitting in it for 20sec... BUT after adding the JP neck pillows in my IS, its now such a joy to go driving around *but yea, you shouldnt have too put in neck pillows to make a lexus more comfortable...

I haven't had that experience at all. I find the seats to have sufficient adjustments (including lumbar) to help me find the right fit. For me, they're a great compromise between soft and supportive - no complaints.

The IS-F probably has some improvements that would address your concerns - I'd take a look at one when they arrive.

 

Funny..because I got really frustrated the other day at how the seats hug you, & finally have come to realize how poor they really are. I do like the heated/cool feature though.

 

Question for the phatboiz, how are the seats for you guys?

 

Man i cant get over how comfortable my seats are, and the heaters and coolers work well IMO. My friends bimmer has uncomfortable seats.. so hard

 

My seats are plenty comfy, but far from the most comfortable seats I've ever sat in. The Volvo S-60

 

My seats are comfy....heaters can burn my *** if its left on 3....but the vented seats take a while to cool...but at 100 degrees weather, its normal. Overall, I can't really complain about the seats...but if you guys have ever sat on the seats of an LS...its so comfy it feels like you're sitting on a cloud!!!

 

After getting out of an M5, I agree what our seats give in comfort, they lack in support, especially bolster! Guess we'll have to wait to upgrade to the IS-F seats!

 

IMO i think they are pretty comfy...

I hate my seats too also because there's not enough back or thigh support. I do notice however that my passenger seats fit me more.

Well for little people they may be acceptable but I am 6"2' and 220 lbs. Anybody who says these are good seats has never been in a good seat such as an audi or mercedes. The Recaros and AMG seats are just awesome and lexus should apply this to their designs. This is my biggest gripe about the car, but it is a BIG one.
