I have a 2007 IS250 and was comparing my tires with another IS250 bought at the exact same time. For some wierd reason we have different tires. I have the bridgestone turanzas and the other person has the potenzas...
Is this normal? If not, which tire is better, and should i complain?
If the 07 is older is has the Potenzas on it, but if its newer it has the Turanzas. This is because the Potenza RE050 were discontinued, so they were forced to change to a different tire. Personally I just really hate Turanzas so I had them change it to Potenzas off of another car. Just FYI Potenza=Max Summer Performance, Turanza=Grand Touring Tires
Well i know the 06's come out with the dunlops... but why would they put different tires on the same model year?
The first model year '06's had Dunlops, the next batch had the Bridgestones, and the batch after that came with Dunlops again. So, 2007 isn't the only model year which has had different tires on the same car. You'll notice this on pretty much all the Lexus lineup. I've personally seen some of the new GS's coming with Yokohama Advan's, while others still are arriving with Dunlops and Bridgestones. As for the IS, I would definitely swap those Turanza's. Living in SoCal, I want max performance summer rubber on my car.
