35K would be my highest offer. You can pick up 09' 350 with all but ML for $38

I picked up an '08 IS 350 with 6K miles on it with every option under the sun (nav, ml, luxury...you name it) for $32,500 so you can do better.

And don't forget the '09 income tax incentives (sales tax rebates) you get when buying a new car. You don't get the incentives with a used car So, as has been stated above, IMHO, you can do better.

Lou,

Do you ever drive around Mayo Blvd and North Scottsdale Road by the 101? I think I've seen your ride if you do.

Its not the best offer, but if you want it buy it. To me its only worth around 33K cause its consider "USED", for about 3K you can get a brand new 350 with 15miles.. lol.
Plus cashmere interior on a black car, YUCK!!!

Nope, I live in Casa Grande. When I venture up North it's usually to Mesa or Ahwatukee. In search of good restaurants we get around some, but not the area you are speaking of.

Default 2006 IS350 good idea?

hey guys i been thinking about getting a 2006 IS 350 for around 26,800 MSRP ( for sure will negotiate a lower price). the car has 35,000 miles on it with luxury package + navigation + Mark levinsion sound system.

i am buying this car from a private dealership

how much do you guys think this car is worth? how much you think i can lower it?

also i am very concerned about the traction control, doing paddle dancing is able to turn it off ( it is not a rumor guys), it takes a momment to turn it off. however the traction control automatically turns back up everytime the car restarts. what do you guys think?

should i just get a brand new 2009 is 250 instead?

changes from 2006 - 2009
06->07:
Added shark fin, added button to actually turn off TRAC/VSC, added X package as an option package, gas/trunk buttons relocated and illuminated

07->08:
Changed wheel finish to liquid graphite, changed illuminated scuff plate color to white, improved steering feel, changed seatbacks for more legroom, added coin holder to left of steering wheel. MID YEAR CHANGE: Carpet on cashmere interior changed from cashmere to black

08->09:
Face lift year, changed front/rear bumpers, taillights, added turn signals to side mirrors, minor cosmetic interior tweaks, sunroof dial replaced with old fashioned switch, moved center console plugs to be easier to get to, wheels changed to hideous lobster claws, added flash memory to windows, cashmere interior replaced with Ecru, couple new exterior colors, paddles now work in D as well as S, VDIM added to 250 models. MID-YEAR change: Standard brake pads replaced with low-dust TSIB pads.

I think you can knock off 2-4g at most, the price is pretty reasonable imo. If you don't need all that power and options, 09 is250 wouldn't be a bad idea but I think your gonna regret not getting a 350 instead haha

haha thats what i am thinking well, well see the dilemma is

for 2006 IS 350:
the car is so flawed compared to a 09 IS 350
(traction control problem,no coin holder,no shark fin, 08/09 has improved handling)
in general the newer IS350 has so much improvements on them.
higher insurance cost

but it is FAST !!!
shark fin can be replaced by a dummy one

2009 IS 250:
basically most of the problems have been fixed and various improvements better looking dash kit

however it is a IS 250 it is way slower and can not be modded for a signficant gain of power

cheaper insurance ! and brand new!

I think only 09 handling changed. The coinholder is useless if you ask me, mines just sitting there..coins make sound if it's not full. I wish I had no shark fin so my roof spoiler would look better . Be a safe driver, drive with traction control LOL!

haha well i have saved up a lot of quarters just for the coinholder, sometimes its extremely useful, due to the ripping off meters. sometimes it is just sitting there.
i guess i really dig the shark fin and girls think its cute so yeah XD. well as for the safe driver part, sometimes i am sometimes i am not. you know part of the reason why i want a IS 350 is to make my friends eat dust on the freeway!

anyways i think we got 1 vote down for the IS 350 thanks for the reply

I'd get the 350. I regret not getting the 350 myself
